Some types of gaskets require the use of reinforcing elements inside them, in order to increase their mechanical resistance and their longevity. This is achieved by inserting one or more yarns inside, specifically chosen to meet the performance target.

The other crucial element is good adhesion between the yarn and the gasket, a characteristic that is absent without a special coating that acts as a bridge between the two. Coatyarn has in fact developed special materials that guarantee high adhesion between the reinforcing yarn and the gasket material.

The yarn usually used is glass (e-glass) for its high quality-price ratio, but alternatives such as PES HT or steel are available.

Depending on the gasket production process, our coating is activated during the extrusion phase, or the curing phase in the heating ovens.
